Partner, Pam Morris, started Freight Depot Accounting to help companies who haven’t grown enough to support in-house accounting systems and personnel, or just don’t have the time, skills, or energy to worry about it.
Pam Morris co-founded Freight Depot Accounting in 2015 to offer customized financial and accounting needs to startups and small to medium size businesses and nonprofits.
Pam has 30+ year’s tax and accounting experience and as Partner, she oversees the operations and business development for Freight Depot Accounting..

Previously, Pam was a Partner at HHM CPAs from 2013 – 2015. Pam has also served as a partner at a regional accounting firm, responsible for tax planning and consulting for multi-entity companies. Her professional experience has run the gamut from owning several small businesses, to serving as regional controller for a multinational gas company.
Alicia Brown joined Freight Depot Accounting in 2017 as a Manager. With over 10 years of experience, she diligently serves the accounting needs of clients, working on everything from payroll preparation to bookkeeping and income tax planning and preparation.
Prior to joining FDA, Alicia worked at a regional public accounting firm for over 10 years and then as a small business controller for four years. Alicia’s diverse experience with many industries and various sized businesses, combined with her understanding of the day-to-day tasks of small to medium sized businesses, is a huge benefit to the clients she currently serves.
Alicia’s goal is to partner with a business and provide the level of service best fit for the size and stage of the business. She says, “A startup company has very different needs than a professional service provider. I listen to the business owner and employees because they have firsthand knowledge of the business. I can translate their experience into accounting financial statements and other meaningful reports for lien holders and investors. I can provide financial information that guides decision making for their growing future.”
Weekends for Alicia are spent with her husband, Kevin, friends and family. A transplant from Greenville, South Carolina, she loves exploring her new home of Chattanooga.
As a supervisor, Becky brings over 35 years of experience to Freight Depot Accounting. She oversees the day-to-day operations as well as full charge bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, and generating financial statements. She is truly a jack-of-all-trades.
Becky has worked in accounting for various industries: construction, retail, wholesale, and for two CPA firms. Becky has years of experience solving complex accounting challenges for clients, which makes her a well-rounded and trusted expert for all types of clients.
On the weekends, Becky enjoys gardening and traveling.
As supervisor, Susan is in charge of maintaining our clients’ books and records on QuickBooks and Bill.com.
Our clients’ minds are set at ease when they hand their books to Susan, because she’s no rookie to financial reporting. She’s a former CPA with 30 years of experience in consolidations, forecasting, budgeting, cash flows, and accounting management. Our clients can trust Susan to take care of the fine details, so they can run their business smoothly and efficiently.
Off the clock, you’ll find Susan riding through the Scenic City on her motorcycle and playing with her dog.
Christina brought over 16 years of bookkeeping experience when she joined Freight Depot Accounting. As Supervisor, she’s responsible for bookkeeping, financials, monthly taxes, reconciliation of accounts, and data input for our clients.
She believes proper organization and care for the fine details can relieve and prevent stresses that come with running a business. That philosophy mixed with her diverse experience in retail, real estate, and manufacturing has proven to be a huge asset to our clients.
Off the clock, Christina likes to spend time with her family, ride motorcycles, hunt arrowheads, and hike Chattanooga’s beautiful trails.
Ginger Taylor is an account specialist with Freight Depot Accounting. She has a background in computer programing/operations and has been the administrator of various software applications.
Prior to working with FDA, Ginger was the business manager for the Humane Educational Society where she streamlined adoption and animal protection services, as well as serving as the full charge bookkeeper/accountant for the non-profit organization. She believes working for a non-profit has prepared her for FDA’s diverse clientele.
Ginger’s weekends are filled with home improvements, family gatherings, and traveling.
Jessica Boles brings 16 years of accounting experience to the Freight Depot Accounting team. Her day to day tasks include full charge bookkeeping, payroll, bank reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable and financial statements.
Jessica has served the accounting needs of clients in a broad range of industries including service, manufacturing and wholesale industries. Her proficiency in QuickBooks and penchant for accuracy make her immensely valuable to clients.
Outside of work, Jessica’s time is spent making home renovations, watching football, traveling and shopping.
Summary of responsibilities:
The basic function of this position is to create/record financial transactions and financial reports from client-sourced information for a variety of clients. The creation/recording of financial transactions includes posting information to accounting software from such source documents as invoices to customers, cash receipts, and supplier invoices. Client work shall be performed within the parameters of agreed-upon proposal within budgeted time and within acceptable levels of quality and costs. Service menu items will vary by client, and could include, but are not limited to:
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Maintaining multiple client General Ledgers and conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy
- Month-end/year-end closing of records and adjusting entries
- Issue internal “management use only – no assurance provided” financial statements
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
- Maintain the chart of accounts
- Preparation of various indirect tax reports including sales/use, gross receipts, payroll, personal property, 1099’s, etc.
- Heavy payroll experience including payroll processing, EFTPS payments, recording payroll transactions
- Assist client with creation of annual budget
- Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to client
- Complete local, state, and federal government reports
The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge and skills:
- Minimum of 5 years’ recent Full Charge bookkeeping experience
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, including on-line and desktop versions – minimum of 3 years’ experience
- Experience working with outside clients a plus!
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet recurring deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliable and organized
